Things to do in Lake Tahoe this weekend
Go to Squaw Village Friday night for Guitar Strings vs. Chicken Wings, where six Squaw Village restaurants and six local bands square off and raise funds for this year’s beneficiary: the Tahoe Institute for Natural Science. Entry to the event is a $5 donation. Enjoy wing and drink specials and cast your vote. Festivities go from 6 – 10pm.
Historic Downtown Truckee hosts the First Friday of September with food and drink specials and, of course, shopping!

The last concert at Commons Beach takes place this Sunday with musical artists the North Tahoe Jazz Band and the Beergardners. Bring friends and family and enjoy food and wine specials.
