525Sushi Pop-Up Restaurant Open for Winter 2021/2022 Season

TAHOMA, Calif. (Dec 18, 2021)— The West Shore is lucky to be graced for a second year in a row with sushi pop-up restaurant “525Sushi” in Tahoma. Opening last year to great acclaim, the restaurant offers an array of quality fish, fun and tasty sushi rolls, nigiri bites, poke bowls, and appetizers. 525Sushi is a much-needed culinary addition to the area. The rolls have playful locally-inspired names, such as the “Stayhoma,” Antelope,” “5th and Fir,” “Tahoma Heights,” and many more.

Open now for the winter 2021/2022 season, Wednesday through Saturday for to-go orders from 3-8 PM, the restaurant is owned and operated by long-time locals Alicia Kramer and Elisa Tauber. The restaurant was conceived during the depths of COVID last year, when Alicia’s aesthetics business was shut down, and Elisa’s restaurant job in Olympic Valley was also on hold. The two were neighbors in Tahoma and found themselves taking dog walks together and discussing the “new Covid Life,” (or the lack thereof!)

Alicia had worked rolling sushi at the infamous Olympic Valley staple “Mamasake,” and had been running a Thursday Night Sushi Happy Hour at the Crest Cafe for about a decade. Elisa was a server at Graham’s also in Olympic Valley. With their mutual front of the house and back of the house skill-sets, and a desire to bring some fresh life to Tahoma’s restaurant scene, the two decided to join forces.

The restaurant opened last year and has quickly become a local favorite with residents and tourists alike. Paired perfectly after a long day skiing at Homewood, with a sake from nearby Tahoma market, you can’t go wrong with any one of their offerings. With fresh seafood delivered from Sierra Gold Seafood Company out of Reno, 525 Sushi offers consistent, quality, fresh sushi. A prized boon to the West Shore’s residents and visitors alike.
